Thanks to the contribution of renowned specialists in eco-design and industrial design, SULLAIR provides functions which are unequalled on the market.
We have given preference to 5 levels of involvement for this approach: raw materials, production, usage, maintenance and end of service life for the product.
The Air One range, which was developed in 2004, is evidence of this: Ergonomics, Environment and Economy, the 3 "E's", reflects Sullair's know-how and expertise.
For each new product development, we set high objectives in terms of eco-design such as:
- The recyclability rate: choice of materials used with a view to achieving the highest possible rate.
- The noise level which may become a real nuisance if cost and performance aspects dominate. For this we concentrate our efforts on the treatment of noise at source.
- The energy consumption both at full load and on operation under partial load. The energy efficiency of our compressors is our obsession: choice of motors, performance of the motor-compressor unit, cooling efficiency, ranges fitted as standard with energy saving solutions such as inlet modulation or the Sullair Variable Capacity System by Spiral Valve (patented system).
- Eliminating hazardous substances (paint, glue, chromes, etc.) covered by Directive 2002/95/CE.
- Choice of lubricants facilitating draining and recycling after use. The oil content in the compressed air supplied by Sullair compressors is less than 2 PPM, which is the best result on the market.
- Ergonomics: making use, preventive maintenance and curative maintenance as easy as possible. Our compressors are flexible in use, the control panels intuitive, the service periods are spaced out, access to the service parts is very easy and many design tricks mean that service people can carry out all sorts of maintenance operations with no difficulty and in record times.
We measure our results and our eco-design programme is built in to our certification process.
